Housing Action Resource Trust (HART) is a 501(c) (3) non-profit housing and community development organization located in the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California.

HART was established in 1995 with a mission to assist very low, low, and median income families by facilitating the production of new, affordable single family, multifamily dwelling units; the rehabilitation of existing affordable units; and the acquisition and operation of affordable units, and to maintain their affordability.

HART launched its Down Payment Assistance Program (DAP) in July of 1998. Since the inception of the HART Down Payment Assistance Program, more than forty thousand families across the nation have realized the dream of homeownership with a down payment gift from HART! The HART Down Payment Assistance Program assists prospective homebuyers nationally who qualify for mortgage loan, but require the down payment assistance and closing costs necessary to purchase a home.

HART continues to strengthen community Homeownership by empowering the consumers with HART Homeownership Counseling programs, such as Pre-Purchase Education, Homeownership Education, Post-Purchase Educations, Debt Management, Credit Counseling, and Loss Mitigation Counseling. These programs promote and ensure a natioanlly recognized standard curriculum that generates greater access to homeownership opportunities.
